Miles D. Amarino is the Chief Operating Officer for Theodora Oringher Miller & Richman PC, a premier California business transaction and litigation law firm with offices in Los Angeles and Orange County. He has more than 20 years experience in professional services, with 14 years in law firm management. As COO, Miles works closely with the firm's Chairman & CEO and other senior management to develop and execute policy and strategy, and is responsible for directing the daily business affairs of the Firm. Miles leads a team of talented professional managers to ensure that the Firm's operational infrastructure is aligned with its business strategies to support the delivery of top quality legal services and the execution of strategic initiatives.
He realizes, as do all members of the Firm's management, that clients are both external and internal to the Firm – that clients are not only those who retain the Firm for legal services, but also are the lawyers within the Firm whom he and his staff support.
Prior to joining the Firm in 2001, Miles was the Director of Finance with Irell & Manella LLP for 7 years. He began his professional services career more than 20 years ago in public accounting with a large local firm and later with the national accounting firm of Kenneth Leventhal & Company in their Entrepreneurial Services Group.
Miles is an avid golfer and enjoys playing in local club tournaments. Earlier in his sports life, he was a college catcher and was invited to participate in the 1984 U.S. Olympic Baseball Team tryouts. Miles was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Miles received his BS in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge.
