Linda Hatcher has been a business lawyer for 15 years, representing clients that range from individual entrepreneurs to publicly traded companies. She has represented clients across diverse industries, with significant experience in the health care industry.

Linda's extensive legal experience with business formations, operations, transactions, and regulatory matters is enhanced by her former business career. Prior to her law career, Linda was a business manager with American Hospital Supply Corporation (now Baxter), where she became one of the youngest branch managers in the country for its home health care and durable medical equipment division.

  • Represents physicians, hospitals, other health care providers and other businesses related to health care & life sciences with their business entities, business ventures, contracting, licensing, regulatory, compliance and general legal matters
  • Frequently acts as special health care counsel in connection with other law firms and business attorneys that do not have health care law expertise
  • Assists the in-house legal department of a national hospital and health systems organization with business, contracting and regulatory matters relative to its California hospitals
  • Represents providers and organizations in management services arrangements, professional services agreements and medical director agreements
  • Represents physicians and others with ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers and other ancillary services
  • Represented a developer/manufacturer in the sale of a health care product line to a public company, with the transaction valued at $170.8 million
  • Represented a pharmaceutical wholesaler/distributor, the seller, in a merger and acquisition transaction with a public company valued at approximately $33.5 million
  • Represented four hospital-based medical practices, the sellers, in a series of merger and acquisition transactions involving one buyer, collectively negotiated and valued at approximately $13.2 million
  • Successfully obtained early review termination of Hart-Scott-Rodino filings in representation of a public company client, the buyer, acquiring four hospitals in a transaction valued at approximately $144 million
  • Represented affiliated general contractor and specialty contractor businesses, the sellers, in a merger and acquisition transaction valued at approximately $22.5 million
  • Represented a manufacturer start-up company in their business formation and with their acquisition of a manufacturing business valued at $10 million
  • Represented a medical billing company, the seller, in a merger and acquisition transaction valued at approximately $24 million
  • Represented a large IPA in their corporate housekeeping and reorganization after it was discovered that all of their corporate and shareholder records had been destroyed

Professional Qualifications and Memberships

Linda is admitted to practice in California and is a member of the Business Law Section of the California State Bar. She is the Immediate Past Chair of the Healthcare Law Section and serves on the Executive Committee of the Healthcare Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Linda also served for six years as Chair of the Business Law Section and member of the Board of Governors of Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles. She is actively involved in the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles mentoring program for women lawyers and judges.

Education

Linda received her BS magna cum laude from Murray State University. She received her JD from Loyola Law School, where she received the Dean's Academic Achievement Scholarship, was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Honor Society, and received the American Jurisprudence Award for Trial Advocacy.
